When Aby laughs it comes from her soul.
So you have no choice, but to laugh along with her. It's contagious. And if you know me even just a little, you know I love to laugh too.
Aby chose a summer session and she even survived wearing one of her favorite big sweaters in the middle of July. She said she is always cold so it didn't bother her one bit and actually she never did break out in a sweat while wearing it which was awesome for her makeup. :)
We shot Aby's session in Wahoo with part of it in my studio and then more of a urban/industrial setting. She was pretty much up for anything though she did have the idea of bringing in music for her session so that she could be laying within all the music. Music is a big part of Aby's life. She has been in choir all four years of high school and also is a member of Legacy, the all girls show choir team.
It is always so much fun to see kids grow up in front of my camera! I have been photographing Aby for a few years now with school portrait sessions in my studio and she was part of my teen model program before joining my senior model team. I was just looking back at some of our other sessions as this time of year is when I start to clean up my desk top and make sure files are truly backed up for the year. It is always fun to see how I have grown as a photographer just as much as it is to see clients grow up in front of my lens.
Captain America. That's all I can even tell you about one of Aby's favorite t-shirts that she wore for her session. I know she loves Captain America because I have photographed her three times in this shirt! Me on the other hand, I have never read the books, seen the movies, nada. But this is never about me. It is about the experience and the images my senior wants. Aby didn't want anything specific with this shirt, she just wanted to wear it in her senior pics. So for me, that was perfect.
It is crazy to think we shot these images of Aby the summer before her senior year and now she is in the second semester of her senior year at Wahoo High School! I am looking forward to what her future holds and cheering her on from afar. :)
