Though I complain about being hot and sweat so much it looks like I jumped in the lake during a session, I love that Nebraska golden sun!
Back in August, Trinidy and her mom drove to Wahoo from Blair, Nebraska for her two hour senior shoot. Trinidy wanted a variety of looks as far as locations so I took her to two spots that can have different looks within steps instead of driving all over. She knew she wanted to do something with water and she chose the perfect jumper for this. A few weeks prior I had a brave senior who walked down the rocks to get to a perfect log in the water - and Trinidy braved it as well! We didn't have her move to far as the rocks under the water were very slippery so we maximized poses in a small little area of the lake. You can see that posing can be very simple and still look totally different!
When you are working in a small town, you have to be creative in finding some cool and unique locations that can be used multiple times, but not look like the same photo. There is a great little spot that I actually used numerous times this year that gives an awesome urban setting with so many little nooks and crannies, you are not using the same background over and over again. When Trinidy showed me her outfit options - I knew that pink leather skirt was the perfect color and look for this location!
Sunflowers. That was the one request Trinidy had. Lucky for her that late in the summer the sunflowers were EVERYWHERE! Just look at how gorgeous they looked and how Trinidy glowed while being photographed by them.
I take pride and responsibility in asking what my clients want for their senior portraits - and any session I photograph. Being able to see Trinidy's face when we pulled up to the sunflowers made my entire evening.
Thank you to Trinidy and her mom for trusting me with this important time in Trinidy's life and for allowing me to be so creative!
